While Wailea is known for its stunning beaches, luxury resorts it also has world renown restaurants. Here are some of my personal favorites.

They even have Vegas options but yeah does that even really matter?
Tommy Bahamas: Located at the The shops of Wailea and I know some people might be like this is a chain restaurant and yes it is but this is my go to place. The ambiance at Tommy Bahama is warm and inviting, with a charming island-inspired decor that transports guests to a laid-back paradise. Whether you choose to dine indoors surrounded by vibrant island hues and lush foliage or opt for seating on the open-air patio, you'll be immersed in the casual elegance that defines the Tommy Bahama experience.
As for the cuisine, Tommy Bahama's menu celebrates the flavors of the tropics with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and innovative twists on classic dishes. From mouthwatering seafood specialties to tender grilled meats and flavorful salads, each dish is expertly crafted to tantalize the taste buds. Don't miss out on their signature cocktails, which feature tropical flavors and top-shelf spirits, perfect for sipping as you soak in the island atmosphere. As for me I always start the night out with a Dirty Vodka Martini with Blue Cheese olives. The wife prefers a Grapefruit Basil Martini, not gonna lie its a killer drink and highly suggested.

Monkeypod Kitchen: Monkeypod Kitchen in Wailea, Maui, is a vibrant and popular dining destination that seamlessly blends island vibes with culinary innovation. Located in the heart of Wailea, this restaurant offers a casual yet upscale atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy a memorable dining experience.
Upon entering Monkeypod Kitchen, guests are greeted by a relaxed ambiance characterized by rustic-chic decor, open-air seating, and panoramic views of the surrounding tropical landscape. The restaurant's design reflects its commitment to sustainability, with reclaimed wood accents and eco-friendly features adding to its charm.
Monkeypod Kitchen is renowned for its creative and flavorful cuisine, with a menu that highlights locally sourced ingredients and bold flavors. From wood-fired pizzas and handcrafted burgers to fresh seafood and innovative pupus (appetizers) and the Ramen bowl is a must, there's something to satisfy every palate. Don't miss out on their signature Mai Tai, made with fresh-squeezed juices and premium spirits, or explore their extensive selection of craft beers and artisanal cocktails.
In addition to its delicious food and drinks, Monkeypod Kitchen is also known for its lively atmosphere and nightly live music, adding to the overall dining experience. It can get a little loud at prime time in the restaurant but that adds to the ambience. This is also a very Keiki (Child) friendly environment. No reservations and its first come first serve, waits of 30minutes to an hour is normal.
Oao: Pronounced "WOW" is Wailea's newest Sushi restaurant located at Wailea Gateway Center. You may not have heard about it yet but you will be for sure. Let me start off with I was there for the soft opening as well as day 1 and have been many times since. The food is great and the staff is top notch though can be a little slow going. If you on in a rush this isn't the place for you. The wait is usually 30-45 minutes and I highly suggest calling in for reservations.
They just received their liquor license so its not BYOB anymore which helped the bill, its not Morimoto pricing but its not far off. Everything is locally sourced making it a fan favorite for locals and tourists alike. The rolls are creative and has a lot of Hawaiian influence to them. The best thing on the menu is the Hamachi Carpaccio and its a must try. Oao is a very laid back place, being in a strip mall is the perfect location for it.
Lineage: Lineage is a highly acclaimed restaurant known for its innovative take on Hawaiian cuisine and its commitment to showcasing local flavors and ingredients.
